Red Shanked Doucs The Pygathrix Nemaeus is for sure the most interesting sight of Son Tra. Besides other rare flora and fauna inhabiting Son Tra, the Red Shanked Doucs are the most remarkable. With only a small population living throughout vietnam and South East Asia, about 20% lives at Son Tra, and quite easy to spot, where in other areas you need to walk for hours to get lucky..
Dr Larry Ulidarri an expert of the Son Tra Douc Research and Conservation Project is protecting the Doucs for more than 15 years at the Son Tra Peninsula... more about the Son Tra Douc Research an Conservation Project -
Son Tra Beaches It's quite easy to find a nice and quiet beach at Son Tra. Try one the different little "Bãi's" like Bai Bac, Bai Nam and Bai But and enjoy the seafood, or take a swim Tien Sa Beach. The Beaches or "Bai's" are most of time deserted, which leaves you often alone with a pristine beach and clear calm sea water.
